01. What does yerba mate taste like?

Yerba mate has a very natural, herbal flavour with a bitter undertone. Classic yerbas are often described as slightly smoky due to the way they are prepared. If you don't like that, we recommend an unsmoked organic yerba .

02. How do you prepare Yerba Mate?

Yerba Mate is not a normal tea. Drinking and preparing Mate is a very special ritual. In short:

You put the loose Yerba Mate in a calabash (the special Mate cup). You add hot or ice-cold water. Then you drink the Mate through a bombilla. This is a special straw with a filter at the end, so that you do not drink the leaves as well.
